bitter-cold-storm:

“… Ge-Ka?”
She gazed down at the cactuar, puzzled. “Hmm.. Um, hi there.”

“Ge-Ka!” *Waves it’s… stub saying “hi”*

“Gee…Ka?” *It stares at her, then waddles a little closer to her.* “Ge…”

The best way to try and communicate would be to ask it simple questions and guess from its reaction whether it means ‘yes’ or ‘no’, she supposes. “Um, are you looking for something?”

*Stares at her for a while trying to process what she said, then nods.* “Ge…Ka.” *Points to the right, over to a small open plain.* “Ge-Ka!”

*Takes a step back.* “Geee-Ka….”

She notices the cactuar take a step back, realising that she’s probably frightened it. “Aw, hey, don’t be scared.” She urges, crouching down to the cactuar’s level and gesturing for it to come towards her.

“Gee…Ka?” *It stares at her, then waddles a little closer to her, still cautious.* “Ge…”

[With the acknowledgement given to her, the goddess knelt down just before the cactuar, her crystalline hues alight with a gentle warmth. For now, she had no place here — no solemn world in which to watch over. Canting her head gently, this small creature held intrigue.] If your home is in that distance, then shall I cross it with you? Your home is to be found there…and who is to know what I may find towards that end.

The cactuar smiled brightly, then nodded it’s head once again. “Ge-Ka!”

[Standing erect, the goddess turns to face that distant end. The light of the sky was still yet resilient, and so she gently gestured a hand towards her small companion to lead the way, and to say that she would surely follow.]

It waddled down the path towards it’s home, singing a little tune with every step it took. “Ge~, Ka~, Ge~, Ka~, Gee~, Kaa~”

[Listening to the pleasantries of the cactuar that filled the silent expanse between them, her steps were nearly aligned with the tune, her step equal of every two the other had taken. Such merriment, she supposed — it was enlightening.]

The cactuar stopped dead in it’s tracks. Something was… off. “Ge?” It asked itself, taking a look around. Over, in plain sight was a Tonberry. It was walking straight at them.

cactuarthousandneedles replied to your post: “Ge-Ka~!”

The cactuar tilted it’s head to the side at Cosmo’s, not expected to have something to be needed to tell her. “Ge-Ka?”

[Witnessing the slight careen of its figure, the goddess was curious as to why the creature had come.] You have come far from home to be here…have you not…

“Ge-Ka!” The cactuar pointed the opposite direction of where it was facing. “Ge, Ge-Ka ka!”

[Lifting her gaze towards the distant horizon, half lidded hues fell back to the cactuar.] Your home…is it towards that end?

It nodded it’s head a couple of times quickly, then just shrugged. “Ge-Ka. Geeeee. Ka.”
